Ideally you will start in a Beginners’ classs, then progress through Improvers, then Intermediates to the Advanced class, but there are no rigid rules so speak to me when you feel you are ready to move up a class.
The moves are nearly all known by their Spanish names but don’t be put off because after a little while it all becomes second nature. The names are the calls given when we all dance together in rueda (the cuban wheel). With a few tweaks all the moves can also be done when you are partner dancing.
Here are examples of the moves that are taught within the different classes. I aim to include a mix of old favourites plus new moves in each of the classes. In that way you can build your repertoire progressively. We do not expect perfection only enjoyment! Have fun!

I am often asked about what music to buy and where to get it from. This is my fave list – hope you like it too.
